MORE Care in Ohio: Medical Oral Expanded Care

Significant tooth decay in very young children is still a costly and painful problem in Ohio In Ohio, gains have been made in oral health, but significant tooth decay in very young children persists — leading to chronic pain, sleep and eating disorders, ineffective use of hospital emergency departments, and ultimately, large expenditures by government and private payors for hospital-based care of these children. Oral Health Ohio and CareQuest Institute for Oral Health are partnering to improve the oral health of children and reduce costly, invasive dental procedures by advancing value-based care and integrating care between dental and medical providers.
